As the top performer in our GPU benchmarks hierarchy and

one of the best graphics , plenty of people are looking at Nvidia’s halo  GPU and the various models that use it, so let’s see how Gigabyte’s model stacks up.

Gigabyte’s Gaming OC represents one of the more traditional designs we’ve seen so far, and it’s ultimately no better or worse than the competition.

A 1–2% difference in 4090 here or there falls within the margin of error on our benchmarks, which means the main draws of this will be the looks, retail availability, and pricing.

The core design appears to be identical to Gigabyte’s RTX 4090 Windforce, with the key difference being the RGB lighting rings around the fans — the 15 MHz factory overclock barely warrants a mention.

Let’s also address the gigantic melting 16-pin elephant in the corner. There’s still no official word on what’s causing the problems,

but with over 20 melted connectors in just the past month — including a few that didn’t use the adapter cable and

opted instead for a direct PSU connection — we can’t help but feel concerned.

As a general rule, AIB prices tend to sit a fair bit higher than the MSRP of the , this will set you back over $1700 dependent on your region.

Which poses a question, is it worth picking up an AIB , or is it better to hold out for a Founders Edition to save yourself some money?

The expenditure starts to add up when you consider that most users will need a PSU and potential case upgrade. Regardless, we’ll be figuring out today if this added cost is worth it.

The new RTX 4090 utilise the new ADA Lovelace architecture is set to bring double, or even four times the 4090 in certain scenarios.

At the forefront of the new hardware comes a plethora of software improvements and significant 4090 bumps to RT cores, Tensor Cores, Programmable Shaders and more. rtx 4090

The RT and Tensor cores is where you’ll see the uplift in gaming and

workstation 4090 compared to the 3rd and 4th designs.

The new RT cores and architecture changes have boosted the capability of Ray-Tracing within titles,

whilst also reducing 4090 overhead. 4090

The nearly pixel perfect global illumination that comes with the new Ray-Tracing techniques removes the need for settings such as ambient occlusion,

further improving the visual fidelity that differs between traditional rasterization and ray-traced games. rtx 4090

Looking at the 4th Tensor Cores, they share similar improved 4090 metrics to that of the new RT cores.

These new cores are unfortunately a requirement for the latest changes to Nvidia’s AI-backed resolution scaler – DLSS. However, after seeing the stark difference that comes with the new 4090 aorus ار تي اكس 4090

Frame technology, it makes sense to some extent that this tech is limited to the new .

Touching upon Frame briefly, this software integration is a game-changer. Titles saw double the performance in most of the games we tested and can overcome CPU bottlenecks

or CPU bound games by generating frames instead of redrawing the image.
