The GeForce RTX 5070 will be a high-end graphics card by NVIDIA, that is expected to launch in February 2025. Built on the 4 nm process, and based on the GB205 graphics processor, in its GB205-300-A1 variant, the card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. This ensures that all modern games will run on GeForce RTX 5070. Additionally, the DirectX 12 Ultimate capability guarantees support for hardware-raytracing, variable-rate shading and more, in upcoming video games. It features 6144 shading units, 192 texture mapping units, and 64 ROPs. Also included are 192 tensor cores which help improve the speed of machine learning applications. The card also has 48 raytracing acceleration cores. NVIDIA has paired 12 GB GDDR7 memory with the GeForce RTX 5070, which are connected using a 192-bit memory interface. The GPU is operating at a frequency of 2165 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2510 MHz, memory is running at 2209 MHz (28 Gbps effective).
Being a dual-slot card, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 draws power from 1x 16-pin power connector, with power draw rated at 250 W maximum. Display outputs include: 1x HDMI 2.1b, 3x DisplayPort 2.1a. GeForce RTX 5070 is connected to the rest of the system using a PCI-Express 5.0 x16 interface.
